It is 6. There was a typo in my solution.

kevincan I am getting the answer as 6 by counting 19-59. Can you please explain why the OA will be 5

How could we do this without finding the sum of the ages ?

The sum of their ages must be a multiple of eight, so we could just look at the remainders when we divide the ages by eight
