No. The diagonal of a square bisects the angle but not all rectangles are squares.

however, i have a question here. We know that diagonals of a rectangle donot bisect each other. If that is the case , then why the length EC and EB are similar in this case.

They could be different and hence the value of angle EBC can be different.

Please let me know if there is something wrong in my understanding here.

The diagonal of a rectangle DO bisect each other, they cut each other in half. But the diagonal does NOT bisect the angle it's originated from.

A rectangle is an almost perfect figure (except the opposite sides are unequal)

Any change in the rectangle that divides things into equal proportion will do so all across.

Each statement alone is sufficient.
