The answer is (C)
Stmnt (1) : AB = CD => BC/CD = 3/4
Using the statement, we can calulate the angle CBD. (Dont calculate it becaue it will be a difficult number, might be in fractions. Just keep in mind that it's possible to calculate.)
But still, we can not figure out the distance BC (Dia of circle)
Insufficient
Stmnt (2) BD = 25 => Does not help in deducing anything alone.
Insufficent.
Stmnt (1) & Stmnt (2) combined
From stmnt(1), we have the angle
From stment (2), we have the distance BD Hence we can calculate the Ditance BC using the formula of proprtion(The distance would be in the proportion of angles).
And hence the area of circle.
So the answer is (C)

From (1) we get BC=3/4 AB but it is not sufficient.
(2) we get BD= 25 that is also not sufficient.
Combining 1 and 2
From right angled triangle properties,AB^2 + AD^2 = BD^2 and AD=BC
AB^2+9/16* AB^2 = 25^2
25/16*AB^2 = 25*25
Hence AB = 20
or AD = 3/4* 20 =15
Diameter is 15 so we can find out the area of the circle.
Hence answer is C
