Are the numbers k/4, z/3, and r/2 in increasing order?

(1) 3 < z < 4
(2) r < z < k

Yes, \(\frac{r}{2}>\frac{z}{3}>\frac{k}{4}\) is equivalent to \(\frac{6r}{12}>\frac{4z}{12}>\frac{3k}{12}\), which is the same as \(6r > 4z>3k\) (you can get this by multiplying the first inequality by 12, which is the least common multiple of 2, 3, and 4).
