A certain shipment of identical cans of soup can be packed either into cartons that hold 15 cans each or into cartons that hold 25 cans each. If all cartons will be completely filled regardless of the size chosen, how many of the larger cartons would be needed to for the entire shipment?
(1) Forty fewer cartons would be needed if the shipment were packed in the larger cartons than if it were packed in the smaller cartons.
(2) If the cans were packed into the smaller cartons, 100 cartons would be needed.

Statement 1 :- If x number of smaller cans fill the shipment then x-40 larger cans fill the entire shipment.
Therefore 15 * x = 25 ( x-40 ) will give us the ans.
Statement 2 :- Number of smaller cans is given as 100 there total cans required would be 15 * 100 = 1500
how many larger cans would be required to ship 1500 soups ? 1500 / 25 would give us the ans.
