Given Timmy spends half of his allowance on his pet Din and half on candies.

How much money did Tim spend on Din ?

Stat 1: Din eats 1.5kg of food every day and we are not sure how much 1.5kg of food costs... Insufficient

Stat 2: Timmy buys 110 gr of candies each day. One kg of candies costs 7.5 $

Then 110 gr of candies cost = 7.5 *110 / 1000 = 0.825 per day.

Since in the stem it is mentioned that he spends his allowance half - half. if he is spending 0.825 on candies which is half and another half is 0.825 on his pet. Total is 0.825 * 2 = 1.65 $... Sufficient..

IMO correct option is B.

OA please...will correct if I missed anything.

STAT-1: talking about food generally, not about candy......insufficient.
STAT-2: spending on candies each day=$75*0.11,
spending on din= spending on candies...........sufficient

Yes it is not mentioned the question NEVER said that the allowance if of a day or a month.

Since in stat 2 , we are given each day , then getting the cost for 110 gms for that day and the same cost goes to Din...

Even I am curious to know the solution from Bunuel that if solution has to be considered based on the question stem or from options.
