(1) Not sufficient obviously, nothing mentioned in either numerical or percentage terms about those having insurance out of 300.

(2) 1:5
This tells us that 1/6 of total employees have life insurance, while 5/6 of total do not. But we dont know total number. Insufficient.

Combining, employees having life insurance = 1/6 * 300 = 50.

Hence C answer
