If a, b, c, and 0 are the thousands digit, the hundreds digit, the tens digit, and the units digit of a 4-digit positive integer n, respectively, is n divisible by 20?

1) a=5
2) c=4

The 4 digit positive integer is n = abc0
We need to find out if n is divisible by 20.

1. a=5
Case 1: a = 5, b = 2, c = 2, n is divisible by 20
Case 2: a = 5, b = 3, c = 3, n will not be divisible by 20
Hence, we cannot say for sure if n is divisble by 20 (Insufficient)

2. c=4
Case 1: a = 5, b = 2, c = 4, n is divisible by 20
Case 2: a = 6, b = 3, c = 4, n is divisible by 20
Basically, whatever the value of a and b, n is always divisble by 20 (Sufficient - Option B)

Divisiblity by 20 mean check it’s divisiblity by its factor 5*4
For 5 it’s clear that for every value of abc it’s gonna divisible coz ends with 0
For divisiblity by 4 last two digit of number must be divisible by 4 which is satisfied by the case 2 c=4 hence option 2 is must.
Hence answer :2)c=4 only is sufficient to answer
