If |a| represents the 'absolute value of a' for any real number 'a', then Is |2x-7| = 2?
(1) x is a positive integer.
(2) x < 4.

(1) x is a positive integer.
If x is an integer, 2x is even. Thus 2x-7 is odd and so as |2x-7| is odd and never equal to 2. ..........................Thus Sufficient
(2) x < 4
say x=2, |2x-7|= |2*2-7|=3 NE 2
again x=1.5, |2x-7|= |2*2.5-7|=2 ..........................Thus Insufficient
Thus I would go for option A.

For |2x - 7| = 2, x must be either 4.5 or 2.5.
Consider statement (1) alone:
If x is a positive integer, then 2x is even and 2x - 7 is odd. So, |2x - 7| = odd and can never equal 2.
SUFFICIENT
Eliminate B, C, and E.
Consider statement (2) alone:
If x < 4, it can take many values, of which |2x - 7| = 2 only for one value i.e x = 2.5
INSUFFICIENT
The answer is A.
