The question asks about Rhodes's average speed.

B,

Because statement 1 tells us about average speed of Smith, and we already know the distance of Smith's driving, which is 140km, So we can only get Smith's time, not Rhodes. (S=d/t)

Statement 2 directly gives Rhodes time, and we know the distance of Rhodes's driving, which is 140 km, So we can get the average speed of Rhodes.

Though it's an easy one.
St 2 gives the total time, and we have the total distance. So sufficient.

Just a doubt.

The statement says: drove exactly for 2hours.
But no where its mentioned that Rhodes didn't take any breaks in between.

Drove 1hour, break for 15mins then again drove 1 hour. So total time he drove is 2hrs.
