Let’s say we have 50 1s,50 0s...then the median is 1+0 / 2 = 0.5
Median to be 1: you got to have more 1s than 0s

A is sufficient
B is not
50/50 would make mean 0.5 ( equal) ...59/41 would make the mean 0.59.(more boys)....40/60 would make the mean 0.4(more girls)
