n, 7, 13, 4, 18

What is the value of n in the list above?

(1) The median of the numbers in the list is 7

(2) The difference between the greatest number in the list and the least number in the list is 14

Explanation: n, 7, 13, 4, 18

S1: total 5 no of terms hence median=7 will be the 3rd term

Which means n shall be either
n,4,7,13,18
Or
4,n,7,13,18

Thus S1 insufficient

S2: The difference between the greatest number in the list and the least number in the list is 14

18 is max 4 is min ,thus n can be any value >=4
S2 insufficient.

Combining S1& S2
n can be any value 4<=n<=7

Thus E is the correct answer.
