A digit is any one of these symbols: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. For example, the number 23 is written with two digits, 2 and 3.

Is 1.5 in this set? No. 1.5 is not a digit, it is a number.

It says that n is integer but that doesnt mean a and b have to be integer right?
if b=3 then a=1.5 in which case 10a+b =15+3 =18 which is an integer and
18=4(1.5+3) too
so b can be 2 or 3 and answer is (A) right?

If 2-digit positive integer n is 4 times the sum of the units digit of n and the tens digit of n, what is the value of n?

Let the Tens Digit =a and Unit digit =b
10a+b= 4(a+b)
2a=b

Find the value of a and b?

(1) The tens digit of n is 1.

a=1; b=2;n=12
This statement is sufficient

(2)The units digit of n is a prime number.

b=2,3,5,7,....
We know that n is Positive integer and we also know that b=2a; a=b/2; a need to be integer therefore b has to be 2
a=1;b=2;n=12
This statement is sufficient
