To find the number of boxes which contain 64 cubic inches that fit into a large rectangular box, we need the dimensions of both small boxes and large box.
(1) Each of the small boxes is a cube. - From this statement we know only dimensions of small boxes. No information about large box. Insufficient.
(2) The larger box contains 1440 cubic inches - This statement does not give information about dimensions of both boxes, so it is insufficient.

Even if we take both statements together, we don't know the dimensions of the large box. E)
