E should be the correct answer here.

Because we do not know anything about Stores from STATEMENT 1

We can not find out for sure how many 2Rooms with stores are there. This number can vary between 44 to 60. So, STATEMENT 2 is Insufficient too.

A building has 96 one-room and two-room apartments to rent, some with store and others without. If one of these apartments is to be selected at random, is the probability greater than 1/2 that the apartment has two rooms and a store?

(1) Of the apartments, 80 have two rooms.
(2) Of the apartments, 60 have a store.

Bunuel

E should be the correct answer

Lets take 1+2

For probability to be more than 1/2 we need 48 two rooms with a store

We have 80 two rooms and 16 one rooms
We also have 60 stores

So we can have 60 two rooms with store and 20 remaining two rooms and 16 one rooms without store
in this case p>1/2
But we also can have 44 two room's with store 16 one rooms with store and remaining 36 two rooms without store..
In this case p<1/2

Hence INSUFF.

Hope it's clear.
