Statement 1: T=2M-5

We cannot determine value of T since value of M is unknown.
Statement 1 is insufficient.
Statement 2: M=T-4
T=M+4
We cannot determine value of T since value of M is unknown.
Statement 1+Statement 2: M+4=2M-5
M=9,T=9+4=13
Option C is the answer.

We need to find # of TV sets sold on a particular day i.e. Tuesday
Let's screen the options
1. Presents us with 2 variable i.e. "# of TV sets sold on Monday" and "# of TV sets sold on Tuesday". With 2 unknown variable we cannot come to a conclusion - Not Sufficient
Eliminate A and D options
2. Same as Statement 1
Eliminate B
Let's combine --> 2 variables and 2 equations, when equated should give a definitive number to a variable, that's it.
We should not equate this any further, just an understanding of a likely solution is enough for a DS question.
Hence answer is C.
