Let Silvan have worked for  y  years then his salary  = 3.6y + 45

Then Tomas' salary is given as  = 3.6 (y+6) + 45

Tomas' - Silvans'

=3.6 (y+6) + 45 - 3.6y + 45

= 3.6y +21.6 +45 -3.6y-45

=21.6

SUFF.

(2) According to the formula, Silvan's salary is $81,000.

We do not know anything about Tomas.

INSUFF.

we need to find value of p.

3.6(6 + ys) = p + 3.6(y)s + 45

only one constant, so we get value of P easily.

we fan put this into eq,
