Average of a, b, and c =\(\frac{ (a + b + c)}{3}\) = \(\frac{(a + 2b)}{3}\)
Therefore b = c.
Statement 1
(1) a = 1
No information on b, hence the statement is not sufficient. We can eliminate A and D.
Statement 2
(2) c = 2
As b = c, the statement is sufficient.
