The total number of printers and computers at a certain company is 36. How many printers does the company have?
(1) The ratio of the number of the company's printers to the number of its computers is 5 to 7.
Sufficient, let's assume number of the company's printers and computers be 5k and 7k
5k + 7k = 36
k = 3
(2) The company has 6 more computers than printers.
Sufficient, let's assume computers = printers + 6
We can solve and get their quantities
Hence, (D) is the answer.
(1) The ratio of the number of the company's printers to the number of its computers is 5 to 7.
Sufficient, let's assume number of the company's printers and computers be 5k and 7k
5k + 7k = 36
