Solution:

(1) The total number of games teams R and U played against each other in finals is 30. Insufficient

Just knowing the total number of games played by both teams R and U is not sufficient to answer the question.

(2) Team R scored 128 goals in these matches, and Team U scored 203 goals in these matches. Insufficient

Team R scored 128 goals and Team U scored 203 goals is insufficient to reach to the conclusive answer.

Even we combine both the statement won't help us to give us the conclusive answer.

Hence, Option E

We need to find out who won more than 1/2 of the games played.
1. total number of games played is given as 30. So from we surely can't say who won more games. (Insufficient)
2. Total goals scored by team R is given as 128 and total scored by team U is 203

Although it seems U has scored more goals but we still can't say that U won majority of the matches as it is possible that U won the matches with High goal difference. Also we don't know the total matches played or the minimum or maximum goals scored in each match. So not sufficient.

(1)+(2) together->
From here we are able to know that 30 matches were played and in those U scored 203 goals and R scored 128 goals. The goals scored in individual matches can't still be predicted. The maximum or minimum goals can be anything. So i will choose option (E) as the answer to this
