Fifty men and fifty women responded to a survey about the current value of a MBA degree. How many women responded that the current value is less that it has been?

(1) The number of women who responded that the value of the MBA degree is the same or greater is twenty-six.

(2) The total number of people who responded that the value is the same or greater is sixty.

Let total women = 50.
We need women who said “less.”

(1) Women who said “same or greater” = 26 → so women who said “less” = 50 − 26 = **24.**
→ Statement (1) alone is sufficient.

(2) Total “same or greater” = 60 (men + women).
But we don’t know how many of those 60 are women.
→ Statement (2) alone is not sufficient.

Let the number of Women = W = 50

50 M and 50 W attended the survey.

We need to find : number of Women who responded the current value of MBA as less.

Statement 1:

(1) The number of women who responded that the value of the MBA degree is the same or greater is twenty-six.

The number of women who considered MBA degree is SAME or GREATER is 26.

Therefore, the number of women who consider the MBA degree LESS is (50-26) = 24.

Hence,  Sufficient

Statement 2:

(2) The total number of people who responded that the value is the same or greater is sixty.

This statement mentions the total count out of 100, which considers the respondents who considered MBA degree the same or greater as 60.

Even though, we know the number of respondents who consider the value of MBA degree less is (100-60)= 40.

we cannot find the number of women or man population amongst it.

Number of women who responded that the current value is less= Total number of women - women who said it is same or greater = 50-26= 24

(2) The total number of people who responded that the value is the same or greater is sixty.
This gives info about both men & women and we don't know how many of those 60 are women.

We need to know how many women said current value is less than it has been. TOTAL WOMEN is 50

Option 1: 
26 women said value is higher or same than it has been. Which means 24 said it is lower . So option 1 is sufficient

Option 2:
Total people who said value is greater or same is 60. From here we can't say the individual amount of men and women so alone not sufficient.

Hence option A should be the answer
