Hi stne,
Thank you for pointing that out, this truly helps! :)
stne

When a question says that C is in between A and B, it doesn't imply that C is right in the center of A and B. C could be anywhere in between A and B.

All of these cases imply that C is between A and B.

(1) C is closer to A than it is to B.

Clearly INSUFF.

(2) Plane X flies over C before plane Y.

Plane \(x\) could be faster than plane \(y\) or slower than plane \(y\) or equal to the speed of plane \(y\). All cases are possible. Depending upon how close C is to A.

INSUFF.

1+2

Plane \(x\) could be slower than plane \(y\) and still fly over C before plane \(y.\)

INSUFF.

Hope it helped.
