Statement 1 has incomplete information hence not enough
Statement 2 specifies that 28000 = (1-1/5 - (4/5*3/10))*x hence it gives me the total amount

given B=28k+t+s (where B=bonus, t-tax ,s-savings) B=?
1. B=28k+t+0.24B insufficient to find B
2. this gives t and s in terms of B, as B=28k+B/5+3/10*(B-B/5),so the equation comes to one variable hence can be solved for B.
sufficient.
so B

Statement (1):
Does not give enough information to find the total amount.

❌ Insufficient

Statement (2):
After taxes, she keeps 80% of her total income.
From this remaining amount, she saves 30%, so she spends 70%.

So overall, the amount she spends = 80% × 70% = 56% of her total income.

We are told she spent 28,000, which is 56% of her total income.
This lets us find the total income uniquely.

✅ Sufficient

Final Answer:

Option B (Statement 2 alone is sufficient)
