use alligation menthod; a: 30% b=12%

18-12=6% 30-18=12%

1) To produce the final alloy, 40 kilograms of Alloy A are used.- if alloy a is 40 then alloy b will be 80 since in ratio 1:2, hence sufficient
2) The final alloy weighs 120 kilograms.- gives weight for both in 1:2 i.e 40 and 80 hence sufficient.

Deduction: 30 (A)-----18 (A+B) -----------12 (B)

we know ratio and alligation gives the ratio of mixtures used in above format.

1) A=40kg so based on above we ll know B so sufficient

2) total weight =120kg..we know ratio so we can find B in Kg so sifficient

hence answer is D
