Hi,
I seek to apply for Full Time MBA program starting in Fall 2015, mostly to business schools in the United States.
I have completed my under-graduation at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal University, India. All of my subjects and the degree overall was completely in English.
I understand from the website of many schools that "
TOEFL iBT score is required for international applicants who attended a non-English-speaking undergraduate university."
Some schools also say that "
If you completed a graduate degree which was taught in English, it is recommended you submit one of these tests, but it is not required."
With this information, I feel that it is not mandatory for me to take the TOEFL to be an eligible MBA candidate, but:
- Is it still recommended to take the test / Can TOEFL strengthen my application or it doesn't make any difference (given my education has been in English language)?
- Does the fact that I pursued my undergraduate degree in India make any difference?
- What schools absolutely require TOEFL without any other consideration?
I am confused whether to take the test or not. My gut feeling says it is not required but it'll be good to hear from an expert.
Thanks
