As the name suggests The international English language testing system (IELTS) is conducted to assess your English Language proficiency for global migration and taken by more than three million people every year.
It assesses all of your English skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. In simple words, it is intended to see how will you be able to deal with various circumstances in English in your new life in abroad. As important it sounds, it is therefore, designed by the some of the world’s leading experts.
The Exam consist of many sections like listening, speaking, reading, and writing. For each section you have to make a plan about how you can do better.
I will explain some of the tips which you will find handy and useful during the preparation phase.
For Listening and Speaking section you will be required to go through a test in which your listing and speaking capabilities of the English will be tested. You can practice it with by talking to your friend and listening to English news channels, specially the BBC. Always to catch the slang and keep your mind focused while doing this. You can form a group of five to ten people where you can do group discussion. The Only success mantra is listening to more and more audio clip which you can find online or on YouTube.
Reading section can be approached by doing a reading practice that you can do at home. Again material to practice is available online, along with that you can read novels, newspapers, magazines etc. They are best to attain pace.
Writing Section requires a lot of attention because it is the area where you can achieve excellence. While writing you should keep few things in mind. The first thing is to try the understand the topic properly and try to clarify the need of the article in your mind. Once it’s done write every single point, that comes to your mind, on a piece of paper. After arranging these points you can form a structure and your essay will be ready. Using this technique you can write about anything.
Speaking While preparing for this section you should keep one thing in your mind that the main motive is not to judge your knowledge but your communication skills. Try to stay straight forward and confident. Confidence plays a very vital role here. Before speaking about a topic takes a note in your mind about what you are going to say. Try to add value to what you are saying. For a better performance in the exam, you should keep practicing this whenever or wherever it's possible.
