Hi there,
Can you help evaluate my essay, please.
Do you agree or disagree that childhood is the happiest time of a person's life? When people are asked a question what has been their happiest time, most of them tend to think about their childhood "with warmth in their hearts", and I am one of such people because I believe that childhood is the happiest time of my life for two compelling reasons.
To begin with, when person is a kid, he or she has a lot of time to spend for fun. What I mean is, adults have a lot of activities that are necessary to live, such as work or home chores. These things take a lot of our free time, and kids who do not have such activities spend their free time to play games or chat with peers. Although children have to go to school, they study till noon, and then they have a lot of time to spend for amusements, yet their parents work 8-9 hours a day and have to "run" home and do home chores, such as cleaning or cooking. Therefore, lack of duties and much fun make kids happier than adults.
Furthermore, unlike adults, children are not responsible for other members of family. For example, they do not need to earn money to feed other members. Of course, kids have responsibilities such as school or extra classes, but they do it for themselves, and if they make a mistake, doing so will not affect someone else. On the other hand, if a grown person missed a day of job, he or she not only would lose money, but also his or her members of family who are dependent on them would lose money, consequently having problems, such as buying food for the day. Of course, caring about our loved ones can make us happy, but sometimes more obligations also bring more stress to life of adults, making it less happy than that of a kid.
In conclusion, although being adult does not mean that your life will be unhappy, I believe that childhood is the happiest time of our lives because when we were children we had a lot of time for games, as well as we had no pressure of duties as adults had.
