Hi Synthia221, Adcom considers a few things, such as SOP, LOR, WE, TOEFL/IELTS scores, and GRE/GMAT scores, so language proficiency is not the only deciding factor. If you do some research, you might get a waiver in test scores in some universities. Good Luck!
Hello. As I know, student having an ideal IELTS score that is equal to or greater than the minimum criteria will have higher chances of making it to the university than those with an IELTS score lower than the minimum criteria.
There are many factors to acceptance at English-speaking universities. TOEFL for international students is just one. A2A. Since the criteria for admissions is cumulative GPA, standardized test score (if required), SOP, and LORs, having a high TOEFL does not increase your chances.
