I did not know where else to post this. Has anyone on this website given the IELTS. I'm not really worried about the test but was wondering whether there was a guide to the IELTS writing section similar to the one chineseburned gave for the AWA. That particular guide did save me a lot of time. Can I just use the same guidelines given by chineseburned? The problem with the IELTS is that it is paper based, atleast where I am giving the exam. Any other tips would be appreciated
IELTS - International English Language Testing System. The IELTS acts a substitute for the TOEFEL. It is now accepted by most European and American B-schools. I believe it serves the same purpose as the TOEFEL.
IELTS is an English Standardized Test, like you have the TOEFL. This is used by Business Schools all over Europe and Many top schools in the US consider your IELTS with the GMAT score. I gave my IELTS in the month of September 2011. I score an 8.0 on 9.0. If anyone needs further help on this, kindly let me know. I`d be glad to help.
- IELTS Target Band 7.0: good tips and strategies - The set of Cambridge test books: I believe the latest is 7th. The earlier ones (1,2,3) are in old format of ielts and a little bit harder - For speaking, I prefer the books of Mat Clark.
