Hi,
So I will be starting a MS in Finance in september and want to be sure that my excel skills are up to par. I have done some basic stuff but I am blank on Visual basics and more advanced stuff.
So does anyone know what is needed, and have some good books to recommend for self study? I guess modeling and stuff like that is what im looking for.
All help would be greatly appreciated!

You will do plenty of excel work in the program. Mostly DCF modeling, maybe some LBO stuff. You would be ahead of the game if you were familiar with short cuts and stuff like that. Just get used to being on excel all day. It doesn't stop once you graduate, trust me.

The most important aspect, I guess, is learning to deal with excel solely using your keyboard
