I recently applied to Wake Forest University MSA--5 days ago. Even so, I was accepted and offered a 75% tuition scholarship. Not sure if I am selling my self short by not applying to UTA or USC or BYU. My UGPA is 3.77 (Accounting and Psych) and my GMAT was a sad 620 (I studied for a little more than a week and took only one practice test). I think I received the scholarship largely based on my recent matriculation at Wake Forest U Law ( i dropped out after one semester-GPA 2.7). Should I even apply or save my money? [I am totally flat broke and jobless.] What do you guys think? Cost of attendance is really an important factor.

I applied to WFU and received something like a 12.5% scholarship. However, its only good if a B average is kept. My guess is your scholarship has a similar agreement. Is this the reason why WFU professors are known to grade hard, to null and void scholarship money? Not sure. However, if there is no grade average that you have to maintain and you really want to learn accounting, take it. Run with it. Don't second guess it. It's a deal. WFU has a great accounting program. If there is a grade avg you have to maintain, then find out about the grading that goes on at WFU and decide if you want to work hard enough to keep the scholarship. Since you're in to WFU, and you want to spend the time to apply to other schools and can afford it, go for it. You'll never know unless you go for it.
