Just took the GMAT and didn't score what I would have liked. I got a 610 (44Q, 32V). Should I retake it? It's a little bit above the average to some of the programs I am applying to, but below the average to other programs I am applying to. I'm applying to ...
- USC (Average: 650)
- Boston College (Average: 670)
- San Diego State (Average: 600)
- Baruch College (Average 590)
What do you guys think? Retake it and still meet the early deadlines for most of them (except Boston College) or just apply with that score? Top choices are probably USC and Baruch.

Accounting GPA: 3.6
GMAT: 610 (44Q, 32V)
Work Experience: 2.5yrs part-time at IT organization; Internship with small/mid-sized CPA firm this winter; VITA program (2 years); Accounting internship with Biotech company
- USC (Average: 650)
- Boston College (Average: 670)

Current USC MAcc student here.
Your GMAT can certainly get you into the school. There are some here with scores in the mid 500s, however it may impact your scholarship. Most of the people I know who got substantial money got at least mid 600's. I think with the rest of your resume, it won't be an issue of getting in as long as your interview and write decently, but your financial aid package will probably be hindered by your GMAT.

Form what I have read on here, if you consistently scored much better on your practice gmats (50pts or so) then take it again. If not and you really studied hard to get to 610, then focus your energy on writing good essays and the application.
But agree with above poster, if you are looking for scholarship money, prob should retake. Your background is solid tho, keep working at it.
