Hi all,
I'm currently doing an honors degree in Econometrics at a reasonably good Australian university.
Just was wondering if I could get some advice on breaking into a good Economics masters program overseas eg. LSE, Oxbridge, Chicago, NYU.
My grades arent stellar for my dual bachelors, probably about a borderline Distinction average and a 3.4-3.6 GPA but I have a reasonable econometrics background. I am to work really hard this year to get possibly a high honors mark (First Class) whilst taking some advanced econometrics subjects.
I know that honours is quite normal overseas for bachelors programs, but in Australia its an additional year and requires a formal application process to get in (theres about a cohort of around 15-20 per year admitted).
What kind of credentials will I require in order to become a competitive candidate for a top 20 economics school overseas?
Thanks a lot for your help and advices!
