Hi All,
I'd appreciate it if you guys could give me some feedback and opinions on which schools/programs I should target/take out from my list. Undergrad in the US is almost done, it has been a great experience, but I feel I'd still prefer to work in Europe. My future goal is to work in private equity.
Profile:
- Just finished my first GMAT, 47Q, 35V for 680 Total, IR 7, still waiting on AWA and official results (would a redo in one month be in order?)
- EU Citizen
- Undergraduate studies in the US, at a smaller but somewhat recognized school, major in Finance, minor in Economics, overall GPA 3.7
- Three internships in the alternative investments division of a pension fund in the EU, one M&A advisory internship in the US
- Extracurricular activities include executive positions in the Finance & Accounting club, member of the Investment Club, honorary fraternity
My Top-5 Programs:
1. LSE MSc Finance & PE (out of reach with avg. GMAT scores of 720+?, LSE MSc Acc&Fin instead?)
2. HEC Paris MIF
3. ESADE MSc Finance with Double Degree at St. Gallen or CEMS
4. IE Business School MSc Finance
5. Bocconi MSc Finance
Other options/interests:
Oxford Said MSc Financial Economics
Cambridge MSc Finance
Warwick MSc Finance
St. Gallen MBF (I believe 85th percentile minimum in Quant is a requirement)
Copenhagen Business School MSc Finance
I didn't finish the last question in the Quant section of the GMAT, so that probably hurt my score. Also scored around 38-39 for Verbal in all practice exams, I think I could do better. Should I give it another try in a month and then let the admissions people know if I got above 700?
Insight on placement in London from the schools named above would also be great.
All notions, suggestions and feedback is greatly appreciated, especially thoughts on target schools and what to concentrate on. Thank you in advance.
