Hey, I am 24 and I was planning on applying for MSc Finance at SSE at the end of this year, but I am starting to feel discouraged.
My background:
I have a first class Ba(hons) Accounting and Finance degree from Nottingham Trent University (not a great university).
Around two years in a commercial accounting team (placement year and then directly after university) for a big privately owned holiday firm in the UK.
I have been travelling/backpacking since November 2013 and all the jobs I have been doing have been purely for money (banana farm hand, logistics/finance administrator and finally working in a print company....).
I am currently in Australia and I am planning on moving to Sweden permanently. Everyone I have spoken to has said that getting a job in Sweden would be very difficult! However, as the education is free for Europeans, I should study.
I haven't taken the GMAT yet and was planning on spending the next three-four months prepping for both the GMAT and my application (I'm obviously aiming for 700+).
Do I even have a shot of getting into SSE or am I being completely unrealistic?

You have good undergrad performance and a couple years experience. Assuming you do well on your GMAT I would think you'd stand a decent chance. Maybe look at some other MSc programs though. Plenty of good ones in Europe, although SSE is going to be your best bet if you want to find work and live in Sweden.
