I'm going to be starting my fifth undergrad year at UGA with an accounting major. I basically have been slacking off since I was 14( 8 whole years I know). I also switched my major a bunch of times. Anyways, I have a low GPA like 2.66, but I want to get into a MAcc program. UGA has a great undergrad and MAcc program. I know it's really competitive to get into the UGA MAcc program, and while right now my chances seem impossible, the UGA MAcc program puts a great deal of emphasis on the accounting GPA which is all the upper division accounting classes, all of which I'm taking this year, and the GMAT. So I've got more of a shot as it seems, but I don't want to put all my chips in one basket, especially since it's not set. If I get my act together, by this end of this year I can have an accounting GPA of 3.5/4.0, an overall GPA of about 3.0, a GMAT score of at least 650( I've taken practice tests), and I do have unpaid work experience at a decent public accounting firm. My question is do any of you out there know any decent MAcc programs where the GPA requirements aren't that high, based on what I've told you? I'm looking around and my hopes seem low right now.
Like places I have a shot from what I've told you.
