Hi everyone!
This is my first post on this website and I am facing a tough situation right now.
A little about my background:
1.currently an senior undergraduate student at University of Houston.
2. GPA 4.0
3. President of a student organization
4. GMAT 720
5. Already received internship offers from big 4
6. Have a little work experience in tax and public accounting (interned)
I literally only studied GMAT for less than a week prior to my appointment and I was expecting a score between 600 and 650, but surprisingly I got 720.
I'm in the PPA (5-year) program at UH, which was my original plan. But now my family has been trying to convince me to apply for UT since I have a good GMAT score and a pretty strong background. I really love Houston and wouldn't want to move to Austin for less than a year and then come back, especially when I already have job offers from big 4 in Houston. Tuition wise it's pretty much the same at both schools. I know that UT is the best school for Accounting but is it really worth it for me to move all the way to Austin when I already have offers from big 4?
My dilemma:
UT is the best school and I've sort of always wanted to go to UT since I was little.
I love UH very much as I really enjoyed my undergraduate studies here. Really don't feel like moving to Austin. I have moved around the world (Asia, Europe, then different states in the US) for the past 5 years and am really tired of it.
So I really need some input - should I apply for UT? or should I just stay at UH? Much appreciated
