Hey SScandidatepaki
The choice between a MSc program and a MBA program depends a lot on your current profile and your future goals.
A MSc program is ideal for someone who has no work experience or less than two years of professional experience, although some B schools accept candidates having work experience of more than 2
years. While a MBA program is ideal for someone having around 3+ years of professional experience and is looking for a transition in career.
The curriculum of a MSc program is aimed to develop the basic business concepts and strengthening the fundamentals while the curriculum of a MBA program is developing the fundamental concepts and then giving specialized knowledge. In other words MSc programs are more study based so they are more on the theoretical side whereas MBA programs are more oriented towards building practical knowledge via case studies.
The fee of a MSc program is typically less than that of a MBA program. The length of a MBA program (full time) is usually 2 years while the length of a MSc program varies from 10 months to 24 months.
MBA graduates obviously get a higher starting salary compared to a MSc graduate.
