I'm not familiar with MSF programs in US but I do have an acquaintance who has got into UIUC with a score of 600.

There's a few programs that do not require a GMAT/GRE score if you are a CPA or CFA. You'll have to research each program to find out who they are as I don't remember which ones do this. Pretty sure Northeastern is one though and probably Babson

UIUC might be an option, but the class is mainly Chinese students and many of the professors are Chinese. UConn has a risk management masters that might take a look at you. ASU, Michigan State, Johns Hopkins, Maryland, Brandies, Babson, Pepperdine, places like these might give you a look with that GMAT. You'll get a little leeway since you are not a native English speaker and that is obviously what is hindering you. That being said, if you are looking for employment in the US, you'll want to work on that verbal aspect.

Not sure your math scores, but you might look into business analytic degrees or MFE's. They'd be more forgiving of your low verbal score.

Thanks J21 and MSFHQ.

Uconn and Rutgers said they will waive me the GMAT scores. I'm particularly looking at their Financial Risk Management program. Is waiving GMAT scores a good sign ?

Hello,

I would like someone to evaluate my profile for MSF programs in US.

Identity : Indian
Age : 28
Education: - Bachelors Degree in Commerce from one of the top 20 colleges in India.
- Chartered Accountant (Cleared all levels in 1st attempt)
Work Experience : - Article-ship (Internship) with a mid size audit firm for 3 and half years before getting the Chartered Accountant license.
- Post license work experience with one of the Big 4's for almost 3 years.
CGPA : 3.8
GMAT : 590, Q42, V30 (disappointed)
I'm looking for opportunities in Financial Risk Management. I know I cannot apply for the top universities with my current GMAT score, could anyone let me know which universities I can apply with this?

Thanks in advance.

I know this is pretty old and you might not get a notification for my query, but incase you do, can you please tell me which school did you get into for MSF? And How was your experience?
Thanks a lot :)
