I go to Wharton and am currently in my second year, but am graduating early (in 3 years). I do not want to go directly to get a job so am looking for an option to do my 4th year and MSF seems like a good fit.
My GPA is 3.83 majoring in Finance, Accounting, and MGMT. I plan on taking the GMAT this summer. I am interning at an IB (Bank Street Group) this summer and hope to get an internship at a top PE shop next summer (Ares/Silver Lake/Blackstone). This being said I may have an offer in place before I go to the MSF program, but if not I would want to be able to place at these PE firms if possible.
I have been researching MSF programs and even one year MBA programs. I am looking for something to place well, the material not be redundant to what I have already learned, and be favorable in my future career for advancement. I am not a big quant guy and am willing to go to Europe if need be.
I was just wondering your thoughts on this as I am really struggling on figuring out what to do. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
