Hello,
I would like to give a brief description of my profile for you to help me better.
Academics and Extracurriculars:
I am an Indian citizen resident in India. I scored 86% in my 10th grade and 90% in my 12th grade. I have a bachelor's in commerce from one of the reputed colleges of India. I was VP, Student Council of my college; also I have a fair amount of extra-curricular activities ranging from dramas, debates to business simulation challenges. I also founded a small successful start-up of my own during the college which I decided to move on from as I felt the need to gain further professional experience. Also, I scored very low during my under graduation i.e 55%.
Work Expierience:
Given my passion to make a career in finance; I interned with a mid-size auditing firm for 3 months and then joined a top-tier bank in a mid-office role as a Financial Analyst where I was entrusted with work related to capital markets, treasury and forex while synergising with the bank's counterparts in Australia and Singapore. I worked there for a term of 11 months in total and then moved on to my current role with a company offering consultancy in finance where I have been working since the past 7 months. Also, I write actively for the company's weekly newsletter too.
Hobbies:
I am a certified scuba diver. Also, I enjoy biking, reading from time to time and backpacking.
I scored 690 in my GMAT.
I am interested in pursuing MiM from France or Germany and would like to exclude UK as I have heard that they emphasize too much on academics and I doubt that with my scores in undergraduation, I would not get into a top-tier B-school. Can you please help me to list out schools excelling in studies and placements in finance to apply to and categorise as Dream, Target and Safe schools in respect to my profile.

Firstly, your grades will be an issue here. 55% is really low. So, you would need to create an alibi to why it is low. (the entrepreneurship experience can help here)
You have a good amount of extracurricular activities but it won't be considered valuable by schools until you can show that you created some positive impact via it - on yourself or on your surroundings.
The fact that you have entrepreneurial experience will be very much appreciated. Talk about the major accomplishments undertaken here.
The other work experience you had in Finance can be a differentiating factor. You need to talk about the work you have done, projects you have been a part of, how it made you realise that this is the degree you want to go for.
Lastly, 690 is a pretty good score and top schools can be targeted.
So, I would say that you have a good shot at most German and French schools but your GPA would a big issue, but it can be compensated via a strong application.
Some schools worth targeting would be HEC (Dream).....ESSEC, ESCP, ESMT (Competetive)......Grenoble, EDHEC, EBS (Safe)
In the end, it will all depend on how you showcase it in your application.
