Hi,
I have dreamed of getting into Bocconi for a year now, but even after studying for six months my gmat score is a low 610. I have a bachelors with honours in economics from an extremely competitive school in India (I have a GPA approx. 3.4/4), I volunteered with the UNHRC, I have interned as a security analyst with a renowned Indian brokerage firm, I have worked as a business developer for hyperloop india (India's largest think tank), I have even published a paper (with an ISBN) on the new taxation laws in India. Plus I'm still 20 (will my age negatively influence their decision?). I don't know if I can give the GMAT again and be disappointed (especially since it's already december and I'm already late on my apps). Are there any chances I can get into Bocconi with these grades or should I prep for my GMAT again? Thankyou for your help!
Hello
yashasvikoulBocconi seems to be very popular these days, especially for MSc in Finance program.
Your age will not negatively influence decision.
Your undergraduate GPA is good and having on top of that published paper will make a lot of difference.
Not many applicants will have that achieved.
Your working experience is relevant.
Regarding GMAT score, good news for you is that Bocconi does not have cut off score.
Furthermore, they only mention having a 600 GMAT Score as compulsory to enroll to Essec – Bocconi DD Program (which is international double degree MS in Finance program ), that may or may not interest you, and I assume that is their more prestigious and admission demanding program option.
Since you already surpassed that level, and you do qualify even for double degree, I don't see why you would not have fair chance in that or other MSc in Finance routes.
Good Luck with application !
