Hey! What are the prospects for an international student after pursuing MiM in FE track from EDHEC? How does it stack against the other top 3 Grande Ecoles (HEC/ESCP/ESSEC)? How hard is it to bag an internship? What's the industry reputation?

[I know one must know French to increase their chances, but even if I am willing to do that, I won't gain working proficiency so soon.]

Any experienced person please answer this query. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I'm a student from MIM FE. On french standard, Parisian schools are considered better, however I believe that the financial track, if you aim for a financial career is a better choice since the other schools propose a management degree, appart ESSEC.

However, you will need to speak french to work in France.

Hey there,
EDHEC is an excellent school, and has a good brand in France.
HEC, ESCP and ESSEC are no doubt a notch above EDHEC, but if you ask about the FE track Edhec is quite comparable with above three schools.
The program is designed to provide you with the academic background and competencies required for an international career in finance and benefits from its close ties with leading companies and the valued support of its corporate programme sponsors and academic partners: CFA Institute, global association of risk professionals.
The partnership with the CFA Institute, provides access to various on-campus CFA resources and you can prepare for the CFA Level I, a professional diploma, whilst completing your degree which is very beneficial for your career growth.

Lastly, France is one of the most immigrant-friendly countries so this would help in getting a post-study work visa.

As for Language, it is not an issue, but one thing that would surely help more with your job/internship search is if you speak the French language.
