I have a Bachelors degree in Economics Honours from the University of Delhi and presently I am doing a 1-year Graduate Diploma in Finance from the University of London (through an affiliate centre). I have also cleared my CFA level 1. Now, I am thinking of applying to the MS in Financial Engineering programs in USA eg. UCLA, University of Chicago, USC Viterbi, Georgia Institute of technology.
Is a Btech engineering degree required for this masters program or do they take students from other bachelor fields (Economics)?
Hello
Shivin95I mean what kind of question is that ??
Why you didn't check websites of universities and programs you want to attend ?
Of course they do accept from Economics background.
UCLA has 28% students from your bachelor background (Econ/Fin) and 26% from same background on graduate level, currently enrolled in MS in Financial Engineering program, that you want to attend.
https://www.anderson.ucla.edu/degrees/m ... admissionsUSC Viterbi stated "Applicants with a bachelor of science in economics are also eligible to apply" :

Furthermore, I can recommend probably the best in the world program in Financial Engineering from Berkeley to be added to your list:
