Hey guys
I’m an undergraduate student(I’m 19), and I’m asking if is better HEC, IESE, INSEAD OR ESSEC.So what’s the better in yours opinion?
Do you know what’s the avarege GMAT SCORE to get into these schools?
I have never did a GMAT TEST, but do you think that is good the score 680?
The last question is how good HEC? Because I want to study there.
I’m Italian and I speak English and a little bit French(I have an A2/B1 level in French).
Thank you

Max01,
First off, out of the schools you have mentioned, HEC is ranked 2nd and INSEAD (ranked 5th) in the FT European Business school rankings and falls under the dream category, whereas IESE (ranked 6th) ESSEC (ranked 7th) fall under the competitive category. Dream schools have a very stringent acceptance rate of 12-15%, while competitive category schools have an acceptance rate of 30-40%.
Coming to the GMAT score, HEC requires a score of 710 and above while the other schools you are targeting would accept a score of 690 and above. Hence, for the schools you are targeting getting a score of 710 and above would allow you to target all the top B-schools.
Speaking of HEC Paris’s master programs, it is divided into two phases: fundamental and customized. The first term consists of fundamentals, where you will learn core business skills. Term modules include managerial economics, statistics & business analytics and marketing, ethics & sustainability, operations management, and corporate finance, among others.
The second term is the customized phase. In this term, you can choose to complete electives, an optional internship, an international exchange, or even a specialization. There are several specializations available in the fields of entrepreneurship, finance, advanced management, strategic marketing, strategy, digital innovation, and sustainable & disruptive innovation. The international exchange program has partner schools spanning five continents and includes HKUST Business School, London Business School, and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, plus many, many more.
You also have the option of an optional gap year in a field of your choice after completing your first year of study. This preliminary experience will not only enrich your experience, it will make you more confident embarking on your future career.
The school prides itself on having a huge variety of extracurricular activities on and off-campus for participants to enjoy. Cultural Weeks celebrate the diverse student body, with student-led weeks offering a five-day immersion of different cultures (such as Japanese Cultural Week).
Students play an active role in the running of the school, with participants having their own student government. Representatives liaise between the student body and faculty and organize a variety of fun on- and off-campus social activities.
There is also a wide range of professional clubs to expand your network and build knowledge, plus social clubs to pursue outside interests.
The HEC Paris careers center offers a number of services to help participants achieve their professional goals. This includes one-on-one career coaching, recruiting events, career workshops, and access to alumni.
HEC has some seriously impressive career stats, with 93 percent of students hired within 3 months after graduation.
Thus, HEC is most certainly a top-class B-school, and targeting the same would undoubtedly provide an accelerating launchpad for your career
