Arent your gpa and gmat too low? I mean gpa is fine but gmat should be considerably higher.
I talked to some HSG student and for the MBF the gpa should be around 5.2/6 but for the gmat I scored the 80th which is what hey accept but since I did the gmat focus that just came out idk how to compare

Hi guys!
I will be applying to the MBF as well. I wanted to know your opinion about my chances:
- 23yo male (Italian)
- Bachelor degree in Economics & Banking, I graduated with honors with a grade average between 5.5 and 5.6 of the swiss grade.
- 2 years of experience as a financial data analyst in a consulting company (not one of the big 4, but it has over 40+ offices worldwide)
- GMAT Score of 730 (88% percentile in quant).

What do you think? This is my main target school and I hope to be admitted. Let me know.

Hi Guys! Just gave my gmat, I am bit unsure as to apply or not for the MBF program. I wanted to know my chances too like everyone else, would be truly grateful.
- Got a GMAT score of 625 (Q82, V83, DI78)
- Graduated this year with a Bachelor in Management studies (with concentration in finance) but it was a 3 year course, got a GPA 5.5 to 6 according to Swiss grading system (also was in top 10% of my course). My college is one of the top 10 undergrad colleges for business & commerce studies in India
- Passed CFA Level 1 and FRM Level 1
- Interned at a local company as an accounts/business development intern for 2 months
- Currently working at my father's CA firm, total 7 months work ex as of now post grad
- minimal volunteering experience, no extracurriculars as such

Bit offtopic but does anyone know is it possible to apply for 2 masters programs at HSG at the same time? So could I apply MBF and then if I would be rejected could I still have application for the MACFin program?

When applying to the MBF you can choose the MACFin as your second choice. If you are rejected from the MBF your application will be evaluated for the MACFin in the next admissions round.

Hi All,

I would like to apply for the MBF program and curious if I should wait and apply by Feb 28 deadline instead of Jan 31 cuz I have 163q and 150V in GRE :/ I am not the best at standardized tests and I don’t have much time to study due to work commitments but I think I have a good profile. I have an undergrad in law from Eastern Europe. Later I got to the US to experience startup culture here and work at 3 different startups as analyst. I worked as an analyst at three different startups, contributing to fundraising efforts in the last two and looking to get a Finance degree to work at a PE or VC in a long term.

What would you be your recomm? I do not want to be off just because of GRE but also do not want to miss earlier admission window too..

That just means that the GMAT score isn't the only factor they consider. It doesn't mean that 700 GMAT is a bad score.

This program, German based schools in general, is pretty strict with undergrad requirements. They declined me directly just because I had less than 180 ECTS Business courses in my undergrad. Most schools in the US and UK are not that strict. Be aware and do not apply unless you meet this requirement.

I wanted to write this just to help out someone so they can save their $290 in the future.

So you want to say that all applicants who are still studying bachelor have no chance at all? They clearly state that if you are still studying you need to have missing up to 60 ects( application page of St Gallen university)

I am not saying that at all. I am just saying that it is waste of time unless you have enough business courses meeting the requirement either when you already finished or when you will be done. So the exception is made for those who did not finish their degree yet.
