Hi Guys,
I am trying to decide on what program to attend to September of next year between SFU MSc in Finance (Vancouver) vs Schulich MF (Toronto) . I have been accepted at both and need to make a decision in a couple of weeks, and I was hoping people would be able to provide any input on what they have heard about the programs and which I should attend.
A little background I am a mechanical engineer and have passed 2 levels of the CFA (Canadian born). I also have roughly 2 years experience in the energy industry. I am looking into pivoting into a role such as equity research and maybe a portfolio manager long term.
I like the hands on opportunity I could get with the Student Investment fund at SFU but worry about opportunities in Vancouver once school is finished. On the other side obviously Toronto might be able to provide me better networking opportunities, but I am not entirely convinced on the Mfin at Schulich - in terms of hands on experience such as a student run club.
If anybody has any thoughts on the 2 programs or insights on which I should lean towards please let me know.
Thank you!
