Just gave the GMAT today. Scored 645 on the Focus Edition. A bit gutted tbh thought I could score a bit higher but having said that I have come a long way from my first mock 3.5 months back where I scored close to 400. I am now mentally drained with prep and not looking to repeat. Wanted to ask which MiM programmes can I look into and apply with the 645 (which I saw is a 700 on the classic scale). I am an Indian fresher just graduated from a good well known university in India with a triple major in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics (GPA - 8.75/10). Have 2 research internships done, one at the Indian Statistical Institute in Calcutta. I have an inclination towards finance and cleared my CFA L1 paper just before starting my GMAT prep. This is pretty much my profile from a top-down view. Which schools can I apply to for MiM abroad with 645 as I see Indian students always need to score higher above averages for most schools!
Hi
RAGHAV1174You’re a competitive applicant for most top MiM programs globally. With no full-time experience, MiM is the right route, and your academic + finance orientation will appeal to schools with strong finance tracks. Some top programs may still be "stretch" given the Indian applicant pool competitiveness — but with strong essays and early application (Round 1), you have a fair shot.
Focus on programs that value quant strength and academic excellence, especially with finance modules. Prioritize applying in Round 1 or early Round 2 to maximize your chances. Emphasize your academic rigour, research work, and CFA prep in your SOP to show you're ready for the demands of a top MiM.
