Hey guys,
I applied this cycle and things didn’t go as planned, so thinking of reapplying next year. Would really appreciate some real, no-BS feedback.
Quick profile:
• Indian, BBA (Marketing + Mass Comm)
• CGPA: 7.33 (improved over time)
• GRE: 335 (170Q, 165V)
What I’ve done:
• 2 internships (one in Founder’s Office, one in marketing)
• AIESEC Team Leader (1 year)
• Treasurer @ Rotaract
• Led logistics + publicity roles in college events/clubs
• Some involvement in family irrigation business
Other stuff:
• Dissertation on colour psychology
• Learning French + German
• Interested in scaling my family business long-term (agritech side)
Results this cycle:
• Got into IE MiM
• Rejected from LBS, INSEAD, HEC, LSE, NUS
Current dilemma:
I’m stuck between:
1. Taking IE and moving on
2. Dropping a year, improving my profile, and reapplying R1
If I reapply, I’ll focus on:
• Doing something meaningful in my family business (not just “helping out”)
• Maybe adding a solid certification or something impactful
What I need help with:
• Where exactly do you think I’m lacking?
• Are top MiMs still realistic for me with 1 more year of effort?
• What should I actually improve (not generic advice)?
• Would you take IE in my place?
Appreciate any honest takes 🙏
