As a final uear undergraduate Indian student, I stand in a middle of a dilemma. I got an offer from Chicago Booth School of Business for Masters in Management and MSc Economics and Strategy for Business at Imperial.
Now here are some facts about me:- 1) I flunked at GMAT around 575 and GRE in which I got 315 (151 V, 160 Q, 4.0 AWA)
2) I'm a DU tier-1 student. Did some internships in Banking, Government, a startup, held some positions at reputed college societies.
3) I did not use GRE score to secure admission into both of these universities.
4) I got rejected from Imperial's scholarships and am currently waiting for Inlaks.
Here's my expectation out of the course:-1) I want to get a job so that I don't have to return back to India
2) I want scholarships so that I can fund my studies(due to family situations, I don't want any interference in my studies and become less of a burden to my family)
3) I am looking for a permanent residency at a foreign country.
My options seems limited. The truth is I don't know what am I doing right now. I feel confused and scared because I skipped my on-campus placements to go full in GRE and GMAT, struggled with anxiety a lot during these exams and hence scored less than what I did in my mocks.
I'm open to re-give these exams and stay one year, but I am afraid whether I'll crack a job or not.
I need advice and clarity as to whether or not I should wait for another year and try for better universities with good scholarships or go ahead with one of these. Again, my goal is to work with great companies possibly in consulting, tech and AI.
